A curious Sandbar Shark swims vertically to investigate a freediver out in the deep blue. Despite this being quite a small shark, it was displaying signs of aggressive behaviour. Swimming erratically, lowering its pectoral fins and changing depth rapidly are all signs the sharks behaving quite aggressive and it’s time to get out of the water. Lowering heart rate, not splashing and keeping eyes on the shark (all easier said than done) are ways to differentiate you from typical behaviour of shark prey.
