The Chase is on. One female Humpback Whale trys to evade multiple males in a mating ritual known as a Heat run. The male which can keep up with the female the longest while scaring off competition demostrates endurance and strength and will win the right to mate with the female. These heat runs can be quite intense as the males breach, tail slap, head lung and grunt in an attempt to win the female.
