3 female Australian Sea lions embrace in a cuddle. While Male Australian Sea Lions show almost exclusive aggresive behaviour between other males, females will interact together happily showing affection, curiosity and their playful nature to each other. This is due to Australian Sea Lions social structure.  Males fight against other males for the right to territory and females. A single male will defend its prime island real estate and host a harem of females. Interestingly females will interact more playfully with each other and even with humans while their males absent.
